I've been a Reef fan for many years and this is at least my 6th pair if I recall correctly. My last pair was the Slap II, which were so comfortable that I wanted to replace them after they finally wore out - but I discovered they were discontinued. Thanks to good reviews I decided to try out the Flex - and they arrived today.These are not only as comfortable as my old Slap II's, but are even more so. They seem to be made just as well too, so I expect no problems. If I get two seasons out of them then I consider that a good value in this kind of footwear, and I have yet to get less than that from any Reef product. Oh, and the size - The 12's I ordered are exactly right for my size 12 feet. My feet are a little narrow so I didn't experience any tightness, but a good and secure hold. I imagine that with an extra wide foot it might could get tight with some. My initial impression is that I love them, and Reef's track record with me gives me the confidence to leave this review.Update: After wearing these just about every day during the summer these have shown much more wear in the toe piece and in the heel area than my previous ones did. I don't want to be unfair because I have worn the heck out of these things (much more than I wore the Slap II's), but it's only been less than two months and it's about time to replace them before they fail. It sure seems like they should last longer. I'm leaving the stars as is because they are so comfortable, I'm heavier than average, and I wore them way more than average. Worn less I may could have gotten more than a season out of them. Your mileage may vary.Yet another update: I just bought another pair and they arrived yesterday - perfect fit as usual. I know, my last pair lasted less than a year with heavy use. They're still the best all around flip flops I've ever worn, even if I have to replace them annually. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sandals that last. *by M***T on July 10, 2024* These are the best flippy floppy sandals I have ever owned. This is my second pair. The first pair lasted around 10 years. They are super comfy and easy to slip on. The best part about this version is they don't have the stupid gimmics like a bottle opener that the other sandals from this brand have on them. Just pure flip flops that last and are super comfy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ok so these are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G *by M***F on March 11, 2018* Ok, so I have had these on for the past hour and all I can think about is what I'm going to say when I write the Amazon review--especially since I do not often write reviews. So, these shoes are saying to me, "I have your back on the arch . . . I'm here when you need me." I have tried on 14 pairs of flip flops over the past two weeks and these sealed the deal. The others (Including Nike, Sketchers and Dockers) had inside straps that rubbed on my insole. These are comfortably snug around the top of my feet (the others were always loose). These shoes have a very supportive heel that can support me leaning back on them. The other shoes either forced too much of a high arch for my foot or they had this annoying raised line at the toe. Finally, I tried the Reefs only to learn my first pair had this bottle opener on the bottom. Really?? First, I don't drink. Secondly, the whole bottle opener area seems like it will just pack in dirt that would end up on my kitchen floor. THANK YOU Reef for making a fantastically comfortable, snug, sole supportive and remarkably cushion-ey pair of flip flops that can be worn in the back yard, at the beach, or about town.
