The horse rides like a bicycle. In playing around on the horse, we discovered the hair around the hoof get get caught in the casters of the "hooves". We also added padding to the seat as riding the horse for longer periods wear down the saddle. The design is beautiful, easy to clean and store. The horse comes in sections that can be removed for washing. The assemble horse requires the head portion to be attached, but very easy to do. Lastly, the horse can hold even the largest adult in our house of 220lbs without danger to the design. The value was below average cost when I purchased. I am very pleased. The horse is about 2.5 feet tall, the head reaches about 3 feet.
