Easy Home Security - Go with Eufy
There are plenty of wifi home security cameras on the market, prob even cheaper, however went with Eufy, as they have a great brand and been around for a while, and so far, im not dissapointed. I have 6x camera's (eufyCam 3 with Solar Panel) operating with a (Homebase 3). Went with 6x camera's as we have detached home, and this covers pretty much all the angles for our home. If you're evaluating how many camera's, think about what you want to be covered. Just to give you an idea we have 2x on the Front Door side (just bcos we have trees in the way), 1x garage, (facing the street) 1x side of the side (facing the street) 1x backside of the house 1x in the garden (on the back fence pointing towards the house) One of the best things about Eufy, is the event detection. You can configure what notifications you want to get setup, and it does a good job of recognizing faces, onces its been trained with faces. Setup is easy, you will need a drill (hammer drill if drilling in to brick) with a 5/6mm drill bit, the wall plugs and screws come in the kit. (Pro tip - use a bit of painters masking tape to translate the mount holes to the tape > then tape to surface > then drill through - works like a charm) Setting up the homebase and Pairing the camera's is super easy, as well as configuring alerts and notifications etc, very configurable. Its been approx 3month since the camera's have been up - after fully charging the camera's and mounting, 4x of the camera's are at 91-100% charge (these ones get good sunlight), 1x camera is on 65%, this cam was in the 90-100% range, however as the sun angle has changed, and placement of the camera its getting a little less now, and the last (6th) cam is at 39% - this one gets no sun, but given the amount of activity it tracks, im pretty impressed, that after approx 3m, theres a good chunk of charge left on it. Battery life also depends on the activity you configure it to track, and i have it tracking everything, so its constantly working. All in all, highly recommend this kit!

Quase tão boa quanto a S3

Color me impressed
After six months of using this surveillance system, I can confidently share my experience, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. My initial motivation for an upgrade stemmed from the outdated, cumbersome head end of my old hardwired camera system under the front porch. The struggle was real, especially with the lack of support for newer Windows OS. My expectations for the porch camera were initially low due to its lack of direct sunlight. To my surprise, the built-in solar panel proved to be a game-changer, keeping the camera consistently charged with ambient sunlight. Despite the limited sunlight, it only triggers 1 to 2 alerts a week, showcasing impressive efficiency. Contrastingly, the garage camera, basking in direct sunlight, handles 10 to 20 alerts daily. Even as fall reduces daylight, it maintains a solid 70% charge. Considering my home's 12-inch thick insulated concrete walls, the impeccable signal strength from the home unit inside the kitchen pantry is noteworthy. The garage camera, facing 2 interior walls, 1 exterior wall, and the garage door, experiences no signal issues. The AI recognition feature is commendable, excelling at detecting individuals from various angles, not just head-on views. Night vision performs well, falling between good and spectacular, with room for improvement in IR light coverage. While the camera's IR lights are effective within a close range, additional IR repeaters can enhance night vision for broader coverage. The daytime picture quality is truly spectacular, and the well-crafted app enhances the overall user experience. Setup is a breeze, and the app's speed, even on mobile networks, is praiseworthy. Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted, a handy feature for my garage camera dealing with wind-induced false alerts. The ability to draw a detection zone is a great feature, although adjusting points on the phone's outer edges can be cumbersome. A PC interaction option would be beneficial for certain tasks, as some actions are more convenient with a mouse. A notable feature request would be a scheduler to define "do not disturb" periods, especially during high-traffic times when unnecessary alerts are a hindrance. Lastly, the camera mounts require a firm tightening to prevent movement over time. Despite this, I highly recommend this system and plan on purchasing more units.

Very high quality. Solar Charging works so far in summer. Expensive
The 4K video quality is definitely ahead of the other cameras I have. Facial details and license plates are now visible. Note the charged battery still says 100% after weeks of usage in summer. The solar panel seems to work. I have one placed high on a tree overlooking the entire house and it captures event of every single person leaving or walking up to the front door. Even with partial leaf cover, the battery report still at 100% after the first overnight charging with USB-C cable. I added a cheap kingston 960GB SSD onto the base unit - and it should be able to archive years of surveillance video with 2 cameras with moderate activity. There's no cloud plans to access the recorded video. I was able to watch events from thousands of km away immediately. The only thing you have to worry about is the price is much more expensive than the competition, but if you value the clarity of recordings, there's nothing out there today that can beat it in 2023.
