A reminder of how we are to have our minds in the word of God and what Christ did for us on the cross. This is a great book for a women’s group to study together! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Life changing! *by T***X on October 5, 2023* After getting Covid in 2020, ironically about a month before the quarantine, I became chronically ill. I lost my job, amoften bedbound, and I’m on disability. My entire life has changed. My husband has become my caregiver, and we had to leave our apartment and move in with my parents. When you lose all security like that, fear completely takes over. After two years of living in constant fear of the next loss, I realized that I needed to take my thoughts captive again. And so I asked my mother if she had any books about that, and she gave me this book. I have to be honest, because if it’s age, I thought it was not going to be applicable to me. It has been absolutely life-saving! The Lord has use this book to help me control my worry, I think only what is true and real today, and trust Him more than I have in my entire life. There are six main sections in the book (each focusing on one scripture passage: Training your thoughts, Winning over worry, Pressing for the prize, Counting on God’s goodness, Living out God’s plan, Accepting the Unacceptable). So every month I read a section. And I’m just going to continue to do that pretty much for the rest of my life because the truths that she expounds on in this book I need to constantly remind myself of.
