The project box it was housed in was cracked where one of the screws had been over-tightened and the sockets didn't appear to be straight. It looked 'custom made' - nothing wrong with that and I do that myself, but unfortunately it didn't work when connected to a standard Enttec DMX source. I tested the power supply and that was OK, so the actual unit was faulty and it was returned. The return mechanism wasn't the usual desertcart system but direct to the supplier who refunded the postage. Not a problem but it makes the supplier less easy to do business with as its outside of desertcart's usual transaction arrangements. Had it worked, for the price it would have been good value.
