The best lock for the job is the Sesame combination lock. They are easy to read and last for years. Good luck. **Q: Is this lock as easy to pick as the 175 series? I want to buy it but if it's anything like the old series it is not very safe.** A: I never picked a lock but I do not recommend this lock due to the difficulty changing combinations. Big thumbs down. **Q: Is it weatherproof** A: The question "Is the lock weatherproof?". Yes and no. In my opinion nothing is weather proof, but I have a few of padlocks and this one is outlasting the others. No signs of weathering, or malfunction with freezing weather, raining weather and 100^ direct sunlight. Only thing I do to the locks is a little oil every couple years.
