Despite being small enough to fit into almost any room and system, the overachieving Prime Satellite simply outclasses cheap HTIB speakers, packing the same technology, sound quality and performance as its bigger brothers in the Prime and Ultra lines.; Available in premium-grade piano gloss black or handsome black ash finish, the Prime Satellite is not only handsome but functional too - with an integral keyhole bracket which allows for easy wall-mounting; aging design and technology from the SVS Ultra family, the Prime Satellite features high-quality drivers and crossover components simply not found anywhere else in this segment: The 1 aluminum dome tweeter utilizes an FEA-optimized diffuser that delivers a very open 'airy' presentation and extremely unveiled highs.; The 4.5 woofer delivers surprising bass response and punch, and features a polypropylene cone, an aluminum shorting ring for reduced distortion, a vented coil voice former, and unique all-New cast ABS-fiberglass composite basket for precise component alignment. Review: I am or have been an owner of SVS products for many years. These speakers are an excellent value and will provide excellent surround effects while being easy to mount on the wall or stand. The black gloss is a great touch and they look nice. They image fairly well, but have no bass to speak of and are a but thin, but what would you expect from a speaker this size? Although they could be used as the front three of a surround system, I would recommend something a but larger such as an ELAC that can produce more lower tones unless you need something small. For surround and a smaller footprint these are good, but don't forget that many surround formats now include LOTS of information including bass, so the days of Dolby Pro Logic and "Effects" coming out of your side or rear surrounds are gone. There is full depth and musicality coming from the surrounds. The ELAC for a similar price (Debut) would provide more overall if you can handle the fact that they are bigger.

The crossover does a great job blending the tweeter and woofer, so there’s no weird gaps in the sound. Everything just flows, whether you’re listening to music or watching movies. What I really like is how neutral and accurate the midrange sounds. No weird resonances or muddiness, just a really honest sound that lets the music (or movie) speak for itself. If you’re looking for high-quality speakers that won’t break the bank but still deliver top-tier sound, these are a solid choice. I’m definitely happy with them!

A: Thanks for your question. The recommended amplifier power is 20 to 150 watts per channel. A low distortion 50 watt per channel amplifier is comfortably within the recommended range.

A: These are great speakers but are traditional speakers that require an amplifier. They would work great with a Bluetooth-enabled home stereo/theater receiver. 

I am not an audiophile due to lack of budget but I do enjoy music, and these when when paired with my powered sub are better than anything else I have owned.
