Review: Razor sharp at my first attempt. - For many years I have tried to use a wet stone with varying degrees of success. I finally thought I needed more assistance in sharpening my knives. After a lot of online research and reviews I decided on the KME knife sharpener. I watched a few videos, put the the knife sharpener together when it arrived and started sharpening a few knives. From the very first knife achieved sharpness I have not achieved with any other method. It is simple but very effective. My next consideration will be to buy a kangaroo strop and go for a mirror finish. Although I don’t really think this is needed for the use I put my knives to in the kitchen as they cut everything beautifully already just with using four diamonds that came with a KME system. I am very happy with this knife sharpener.

**Q: Can this be used for sharpening straight razors?**
A: Thanks for checking in on that.  This system wouldn't be able to get down to a low enough angle for most straight razors.  If you are looking at guided systems the Edge Pro and Wicked Edge systems will do straight razors.  You can also do them on bench stones. **Q: Where can i buy just the gold series diamond stones at? i have the kme kit already**
A: Contact KME for the gold series diamond stones.  They sell directly to the customer and/or direct you to their vendors.

**Q: will this sharpen pruners?**
A: Yes if you take them apart

**Q: I just got this system and wonder about the base support. The sharpener is able to wobble on the base by a few mm. Is this normal? Thanks.**
A: Yes and it won't effect the sharpening. You can hold it in your hand if the wobble bothers you. I have done at least a hundred sharpenings on mine with outstanding results.
