Had to apply several coats and the Verdi Gris did not seem to adhere well. Overall not too happy with this and pricey. Another brand had a darkened that worked well and quickly **Q: Can i use jax green patina on a steel sculpture if i copper plate it first? i want a green end product.** A: Yes, as long as you plate it so the patina is being applied to actual copper, it should work. **Q: What is the coverage for 1 gallon?** A: Depends how many times need to apply , multiple applications yield darker finish ... from my experience 8 fluid oz covers 4 square feet approx... **Q: Also, what is the application time, and can Jax be added to copper flashing that is already installed?** A: Application time is a few seconds to a couple minutes depending on the size of the piece.
