## Overview

The S-7M Reference Speakers deliver studio-quality audio with a dual bass reflex enclosure, featuring a true ribbon tweeter and a 7" paper woofer. Handcrafted from real wood, these speakers offer a frequency response of 42Hz to 40kHz and are designed to handle up to 90 watts of power, making them perfect for audiophiles and casual listeners alike.

## Description

The reference studio monitor for your home audio system, dynamic and extreme high quality detail in every music style. We worked hard between the crossover circuit and transducers to get a natural and flat frequency response. The S7M exactly reproduce every sonic detail no matter how small, its translucent sound image, tonal depth and stereo localization. The excellent 7″ paper / Kevlar cone mixed with a true ribbon is the perfect match for deep bass, excellent midrange and high detailed highs.

Review: Great warm, crisp, and balanced speakers. - First off, if you like acoustic, americana, folk, rock, blues, etc., then these are for you. Even jazz is clear and pristine. The only time I've had muddiness is with very heavy rock and hip hop. These speakers are outstanding. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and they are VERY solid. They're crisp and punchy when needed, but also have a really nice warm vintage sound. They shine in the midrange (especially acoustic guitars and vocals), and have a fantastic sound stage. I've also found brass instruments and violins to really come to life as well. The best way I can feel like I can describe them is before I would listen to music, and now I'm listening to people playing music. There's so much depth and subtlety combined to give such a wonderful sense of space. At times it legitimately feels like someone is strumming a guitar across the room. The ribbon tweeters really are wonderful (not overly bright and sibilant like I've heard ribbon tweeters can be, guessing because they're set back in the heavy wood cabinet), and the woofers give plenty of bass. I did build a small subwoofer to get a little more low end, but only noticed the need when I mounted them 6ft off the ground. Admittedly, I am not used to the $800-1500 speaker price range and was able to afford these because a record store had them up on eBay. So my comparisons sonically are more in the $3-500 range. These blow everything else I've heard out of the water. They really give you a sense of hearing the music as intended, not skewed toward heavy bass response. They are plenty loud for our room that's 16x20 with a 20+ ft ceiling...with some left in the tank if needed. Overall, if you can afford these I don't think you will not be disappointed. I have them paired with a Rega turntable and an amp that has bluetooth connect-ability. Sound terrific with both the digital and analog sources.
