I was probably less gentle than I should've been with the adapter cord that came with my laptop. Hence, these cords don't last forever for - a'hem - some of us. ~~ However, it doesn't seem that it was just the cord. One of the USB ports on the laptop might have some damage, as the connection doesn't feel as secure as it was originally, even with a new, properly sized adapter. *** I do wish those ports were less easily damaged. They aren't inexpensive to repair, are they? Well, depending on how much the old laptop is still "worth." Hmm.
