In some reviews people indicated they're 20 minute timer didn't work, I am wondering if the problem is that in order to get it to work you first have to use the 10 minute button, turn on the lights, set the intensity (you tap the 10 minute button to go from low to medium to high) and then you have to tap the 20 or 30 minute button if you want to go a longer time. At the end of the time there is a soft beep to alert you and the lights go off. I have been using it about 7 weeks now and I am seeing an improvement in my skin. I have to admit it was discouraging that it took so long to start to show improvement, of course, I wanted it to work the first day. I just had lunch with a friend who asked what product I was using on my skin because it looked great. I also do use products as I am older and time has it toll on skin, but I have used those for awhile so I think it is the addition of the red light therapy that has helped. The versatility is what I appreciate the most, but I also like that the lights are high quality and cover a pretty broad spectrum of light. The multiple strength and time settings are also nice, and I like that it came with sunglasses. We haven't used them, but they're plenty large enough to keep your eyes from absorbing red light, if that's something you want to avoid. Overall, this is the best red light therapy device we've purchased, and I highly recommend it. However those units were small and only covered small areas and wanted one that covered more area. This one is perfect as I can use the belt so I can move while it’s on and can also use the stand and not have to hold the unit. It also covers a much larger area for me. I get the same results on scars and healing as I did with my small unit. Best thing ever is the packaging as it is so sturdy I use it for storing the unit.
