When I purchased my daughter's, I decided to run my pedalboard through it, and I had a blast. This is, however, a low power amp, and is designed for practice. It easily fills a small room with sound. To play heavy metal, you may want to consider some added pedal effects to tailor your sound, but this smp will give you good results until you are ready for a more powerful amp. I have also played bass through it, and it does well. **Q: Would this be good for Karaoke (I have a Karaoke Mixer) or for connecting to a Projector to boost the sound?** A: This depends on the venue.
