Great beginner skates. Love that they are hybrid. Comfortable.

I've tried a few different brands, and they have been so-so. I have thick ankles and broad feet, so s some brands didn't work some brands didn't work out, even with lacing specific ways. I recently treated myself to a pair of Impala Roller Skates, and I can't help but gush about how stunning they are! These roller skates are not just a delight for the eyes; they're also incredibly functional and offer an outstanding skating experience. I waited a few months to write this review, because I read about a concern with Impala boots separating at the heel, but I'm happy to report that I have not experienced this issue with my skates, so either I got lucky or the company has resolved the issue. Hopefully it's the latter. Just in case, the skates do come with a 3 month warranty. Aside from that, these boots are holographic beauties, and I get so many compliments every time I skate in them! They are especially mesmerizing to little girls. I added cheap vinyl toe caps that I also purchased from Amazon to protect the toe. I have narrow feet and wear a size 6-6.5. I ordered these in a size 6. They were a tiny bit snug at first, but after a couple sessions, they fit perfectly. The boot is well lined and cushioned and quite comfortable, but not breathable. So it's probably better to get a leather boot if your feet are particularly sweaty. I wear them with ultra light wool hiking socks. If you have wide feet or bunions, you can size up and also look up different ways to lace up your skates. The stock wheels are pretty decent for both indoor and outdoor use, though I did end up switching them out for some Radar Energy 78A wheels for bumpy pavement. The stopper is not adjustable, but you definitely need to adjust the trucks before skating or the wheels will feel super stiff and hard to roll. Make sure you order a skate tool and YouTube how to use it. Overall, I think these skates are a great value for beginners!

Don’t mind my terrible skating LOL. I researched some before buying these- I wanted something I could use outdoors. Straight out of the box they roll nicely on semi rough surfaces. I went to a local parking lot in the video. The boots are pretty stiff- idk how long it will take them to loosen up. I do wish the toe box was a bit wider, as I have wide feet. Perhaps I should’ve gone with a men’s skate but I felt the women had more options and I liked a lot of the reviews I saw of the Impala skates. One skate isn’t quite level- kinds of like a table that’s off kilter, it wobbles side to side. I don’t believe that tightening any of the bolts will help, just going to roll with it as I practice. Maybe if I stick with it and improve I’ll upgrade to something nicer down the road anyway. Either way, for the price, they’re a good skate and definitely allow me to do what I’m looking to do C

Super comfortable and easy to use for beginners. I’ve had them for almost 2 months now and use them at least 2x per week. They were a little tight on the sides of the toes at first, but have since formed to my feet and adjusting the laces near the toes helped (so it wasn’t as tight). True to size. I wear a size 11 and the 11 skates have a tiny bit of room at the front of the toes, but fit great. I don’t use the hooks that go up the sides of the ankle, so my ankles can move a bit more - but still feel very supported. All around great skates for a beginner without having to spend too much. I love that they have fun colors. Chose the white ones because they looked like the pair I owned when I was 8 years old :)

Got them for granddaughter’s birthday & she LOVED them! We’ve trusted Impala’s for years & these are no exception. They have good ankle support & are a great skate for beginners as well seasoned skaters. They seem to be the same quality we are accustomed to with Impala, which we know typically lasts for years.
