Yesterday was rainy so it was the perfect opportunity to test my umbrella , so I opened it outside to test it out, and I have to say it was everything that I was looking for.The colorful double vented canopy makes it a great product. The Black color of the outer umbrella is a super shade of black it's nice and colorful inside. It’s absolutely beautiful. The umbrella cloth is not traditional ones, this one has some special coating. It totally protected my sight from the sun rays on a sunny day, and it seems to keep UV away well.I noticed the fabric of the umbrella is vented so that winds can flow out of it, preventing the umbrella from flipping over. And it's pretty large because it covered my old mother and me well in the storm. I've had large umbrellas before, but they blow inside out, this one is unbelievably tough in the wind.The frame and ribs of the umbrella are made of fiberglass, and if you ask me it is much more durable than the typical metal shafts, and it's more lightweight.I do love how it springs out itself . it is a super nice feature, you can get under the umbrella quickly. It can be punctured by sharp hail icicles, pointed broken branches or anything with a sharp edge. Not to say that it will tear easily, but if some force is applied from a sharp object there may be a leak in the umbrella.I'd say this is a good umbrella if you live in a city or metropolitan area as opposed to a forest type area where there are less chance of random debris in the air.The fabric is water resistant, so it dries very easily when indoors.The craftsmanship is really good. I own another double layered umbrella and it has the same design. Holds up against strong winds very well as will it not fold up on itself or flip overThe handle is very comfortable and has a okay grip. Wish there was a lanyard attachment, but you can easily do a at home DIY project with a ribbon of some kind to make a wrist strap if you need that extra security during extreme windsThe ribs on the other hand is very strong and sturdy. Don't see it snapping, unless a lot of pressure is appliedLove the color contrast inside outside. The purple color is very vibrant and pleasing to look at.It's able to fit up to 3 people depending on body size. Average I say is two, but you can squeeze one more in if there are children involved and if they stick close.The case it comes with is made of the same fabric material and is very tight. Takes at least a minute, maybe two to put the umbrella in the case due to a lot of pulling and tugging. The case is only good for long term storage as with normal use I'd just be too tedious.It does have velcro straps along two points of the umbrella so you can tighten so it doesn't open up on it's own for some reason or if someone or something accidentally press the release buttonUmbrella opens up instantly with a press of a button, and able to retract in a pinch also (two hands required). Due to it's light weight its not tedious to walk around with especially if you have a lot of accessories and/or bags on your personOverall very functional lightweight umbrella. Wish the fabric for the umbrella was more thicker/stronger, but it may take away from it's lightweight design. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Wind Resistant Not Windproof *by V***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2017* Not really windproof. Sure, the slots help reduce the drag from a strong wind, but it's still difficult to hold this up in windy weather without it wanting to jump out of your hands. Luckily it does at least prevent the "flipped inside out" effect where the wind converts your umbrella into a bowl on a stick. Now, don't get me wrong, this is a nice BIG umbrella, and I can dig that about it. It has a nice auto-deployment feature with a button click. It is fairly easy to collapse it again and has some nice velcro straps to keep the flaps secured and from spreading out dripping all over your bus seat. But don't fall for the idea that holding it in the wind still won't lift a little 90 pound person off the ground.
