Makes great ice, a little noisy but easy to ignore.
So far so good, ifs been about a month, it works well. I have it in my kitchen because it is definitely not something you want in an isolated space. It’s not a horrible volume but noticeable coming from a neurodivergent mind it can become noisy depending on whatever you’re doing around it but most of the time I don’t notice it. It makes ice quickly, dropping a large chunk like a chocolate bar. I’ll usually hit it. If you want it to stop making ice and the thing is full, you just need to set one larger unbroken piece of 3/6 on the little lip that is just above the drop. It has a simple cleaning function that helped when I first got it. I read somewhere that distilled water is best for icemakers and it can extend the life. But I can’t back that up I don’t use anything but but purified water anyway. The ice lasts as long as you’d expect it, it’s not more air than water, the cubes are solid and keep your drinks nice and cold. I would purchase this again. I’ll try to remember to do an update in a few months.

Makes large cubes
So far I really like this icemaker, it's quick, quiet and makes large cubes in about 30 minutes. As long as it works without any problems, I ll recommend it to my friends. Used it now 4 times and it's doing a great job. Ice is a cube, large and solid. After first batch it makes the rest of batches about 6 mins each. I am very happy with this purchase, it works like they say.

Each cycle of Ice presents as a block must be manually broken apart into cubes.
It does a great job of making ice. It just comes out in blocks and not cubes. When I contacted Silonn support, I was directed to a picture you could find by scrolling far down the page after the product specs. It was a picture of the block of ice with a caption stating to wait until the block melts and tap it apart with the scoop. All the pictures in the description do not show this or mention it. They all show the machine full of ice which doesn't make sense. Why would the machine be full of individual cubes when they say to remove it before it melts. I would not have bought this had I known the truth. Unfortunately, I read the reviews before buying this and saw no mention of this issue.

This is a Win
I've had this since August 2025 and it works great! It makes plenty of ice for the whole family. The only slight issue is the cubes come out in a sheet so you have to break it up a little to use but this is a minor inconvenience. It breaks up easier if you ensure the first sheet which drops (and ends up on the bottom) is broken up before it fills completely. This way there is room for a little movement when breaking up the ice sheets above. Otherwise it is like trying to break up a block of ice. Overall, a win and I would buy again, assuming it lasts for at least a few years.

Look elsewhere
Ice maker started making great ice right away. Unit was quiet and worked well for two weeks. Right after the 30 day return window ended, it’s started to make occasional whining sounds and ice making doesn’t always resume after the overfill mechanism is no longer down. Very unhappy with this ice maker.

Don’t bet on cheaper Whirlpool or Frigidaire units
If you have any Whirlpool, Frigidaire, or Maytag fridge that has an in the door ice maker, expect them to fail after several years as open and close of the door breaks the wiring at the freezer door hinge. The only fix is replacing the freezer door as much as I have tried to fix the wires. This gem of an ice maker turns into ice faster than you can use it. Easy to operate but keep the manual handy for tips on the controls. I’m hoping it continues to function as it has for the last week, for years to come.

Makes ice SLABS, not cubes
Works well and I like the large fill spout at the top. However, I did not anticipate that the ice does not break apart as it falls out of the grid. It falls into the ice area in a big slab of about 8x3 cubes, so I still have to break it up to get it to a size that will fit into drinking glasses or water bottles. By the time I figured that out, hubby had already tossed the box, so I couldn't return it. It defeats the purpose of having an ice machine if I still have to break it up with my hands.
