Best value, great tasting decaf beans on Amazon
Ok, so as someone with review OCD you probably want to compare Kicking Horse decaf with this one, the Eight O'Clock Coffee Original Decaf, as that rates very slightly higher, but is a lot more per gram. Having bought both, and tried both (in addition to Campos Decaf available at the supermarket), I think this is the best combo of value and taste available. Campos is about 90-95% as good as this. And for whatever difference in taste that might be discerned, Kicking Horse is not worth the price premium IMHO. It's still an excellent decaf, but I don't rate it better and value wise this is far better.

Very good coffee
This brand of coffee has been around for a long time and itโs just as good as when it was introduced. Been around since Folgers . It tastes great and smells good. Iโm glad I found this again.

Wow! I Just Paid a Lot Less for Better Decaf Coffee!!!
I was buying decaf coffee beans from a high-end coffee roaster here in San Diego. Despite a premium price of nearly $20 for a 10oz bag, I was very disappointed with the results. So, I decided to give Eight O'clock Decaf a try. Using a good quality grinder and a French press, this made coffee almost indistinguishable from regular caffeinated coffee. I usually mix decaf and regular coffee together to make a "half-caf" blend, but using100% decaf is still excellent. I find that making it a little stronger than I would make it with regular caffeinated coffee works for me but that's a matter of individual taste, of course. In any event, this is an excellent value for the money, and I plan to stick with this product.

Update: you have to use more grounds than non-decaf, but when you get it right, it's very good.
The price was decent and it's so hard to find decaf whole beans so I decided to give it a try. We had used this brand of beans before for non-decaf and liked it. I just can't give it the highest score because it just doesn't make very strong coffee - I don't know if the decaf process is to blame or what - I'm pretty sure the non-decaf beans we used from this brand were fine. The flavor is good, and smooth enough, but doesn't seem like medium-roast. UPDATE: I came back to raise my rating to a full 4-stars. I still think that if you want a rich cup of coffee, you will have to use more grounds that you typically would - and I've been just that - making a 6-ounce cup of coffee with 1 HEAPING teaspoon of fresh grounds and another regular rounded teaspoon and it's making pretty darn good decaf with a very nice flavor. The price is fair, so I won't complain too much about having to use more... but I'm glad I figured out how to enjoy it. Quite good, actually.
