Looking at the pictures, they are same.** A: Hi Alex, Good question. The body of the Grinder and the Refiner are exactly the same. The difference is in the power transmission. The Rice grinder is designed to run for a few hours a week but the chocolate refiners are designed to run for days at a time. The Belts, gears and bearings are all different so these machines can carry more load and work for extended time. We have made chocolate with it 3 times, left it running for around 24h each time without issue. It is not super loud, it becomes kind of a white noise after a while.
