I am using these to lean back to the wall two 4' solid wood bookcases placed on top of each other with mending plates (so 8' tall bookcase) filled with approximately 3000 dvds. However, I would probably at least lower the water level in your aquarium since if you can't empty it first since the water is likely to slosh around a bit.
