The parts are numbered and the fixings sorted into lettered bags. It took me less than an hour, on my own, slowly pottering away to get it built with absolutely no issues and my goodness is it worth it. I’m thrilled with the quality for the price. It’s extremely solid, heavy and sturdy. The wheels are easy to manoeuvre on and the brakes work well. It’s extremely large, I can’t imagine I’ll ever use it at its full height, but I wanted an easel which tilts to allow for easy varnishing. I love the handy little tray to keep brushes and rags. I am so glad that I chose this easel over another very similar one. I could see the reviews here were better so I decided on this, I am so glad that I did, I don't think I will ever need to buy another easel in my life. This does it all, it holds a much bigger canvas than I will need for a while. It was so easy to put together, the instructions are the best I have used in a very long time, and some care has gone into them. It was easy to get the pieces out of the box and put them in order, and all the tools (spanner, allen key and 2 screwdrivers) came too! The best for me is the price, I was looking for a large easel that went flat 90 degrees and this does smoothly and with ease. I love the shelf, it won't be long before that is bursting with bits and bobs. I'm just so impressed by it, for the money, get this one! I've taken a photo with a canvas on it showing the canvas size, 12" X 32" and some paints, one is a 60ml bottle, so gives you some idea of size, The canvas is held well and doesn't move.
