Will work well for residential ducting. **Q: What is the highest temperature that this can withstand? Contact Selkirk (by Duravent) or do a web search for the website, and take a look at their all stainless steel wood stove (et cetera) chimney/exhaust pipe. It's multiple-walled, HEAVY duty pipe that is rated for continuous high temperature applications, and might just outlive you. Another brand is Metal-Fab Type L Vent Pipe for Oil Burning Appliances. Unlike the Selkirk stuff, I do not have any personal experience with this brand, but it's also rated for the temperatures you're working with (570F constant, with a 10-minute 1,700F safety "over-fire"). These types/brands of products not only hold up well to continuous high-temperature flow, they also (when installed/used properly) help protect the surrounding materials from the heat. **Q: Can the hose withstand negative 30 degree temperatures? I would like to have this go out the window.** A: I don't see it being a problem at all. It should be able to be pretty much water resistant to a point.
