Product description Purple Helix Plus version contains 8 separate strains of live Coralline Algae and a marine-based nitrifying bacteria. Purple Helix effectively seeds your tank with spores from carefully selected Coralline Algae species. All the species are bright vibrant colored species that grow slowly so tank maintenance is not needed weekly. Soon you can watch your rockwork come alive with vibrant hues of purple. Although it may be sooner, It can take up to 10 weeks before you see the colorful spots of this algae take hold all over your aquarium and rockwork. The growth timeframe is dependent on your water parameters. 1 bottle is needed for every 50 gallons of tank volume including your sump. This product is a live product and must be used within 30 days. Review: Worked really great but does take some patience - Worked great, i saw results by the 2 month mark. It started with little spots all over. My tank is well established and rock stable but only now was i finally able to get coralline growth. The colors are very vibrant also, not muted like tanks ive had in the past. I am super happy with these results.

Worked great, i saw results by the 2 month mark. It started with little spots all over. My tank is well established and rock stable but only now was i finally able to get coralline growth. The colors are very vibrant also, not muted like tanks ive had in the past. I am super happy with these results.

I put this in long enough ago that I should be seeing some results by now, but no growth at all. I have searched the tank high and low for even a speck but zero. My water is fine, fish inverts macros and corals all fine and healthy. Maybe I got a bad bottle?
