It is doing what it's supposed to do. The speed is fast, but a bit of rumbling when in use. Nothing too major, just put it on a piece of cloth and it should absorb some noise. The LED light is bright (from the inside), so if you have the HD in your bedroom, it might disturb your sleep. I got a 22TB HD at about $400 after tax. So it was about $18CAD per TB, pretty inexpensive compared to what I've bought before, 8TB for $200.
