I don’t anticipate it failing but as it’s plastic, it definitely could. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for side arm with modifications *by R***A on 15 May 2025* This is an excellent tablet holder. It is well built & will hold up a heavy Ipad. Only downside is that the ball on the end only comes out at 1 angle, meaning the angle of the device is very limited. You have to set it up like the example photo on the listing or modify it to get really any other angle other than straight forward. I didn't want to spend hundreds on a bulky stand with more options so I opted to add an additional 3D printed piece to the end of this one that snaps into the ball on the end, changing the angle so that I can use this as a swing arm for the side of my couch. The base rotates smoothly even with the weight of my tablet on it so this worked perfectly. One thing to note on this product is that there is no way to tighten or loosen the joints of the arm itself, just the swivel & ball attachment at the bottom & top, so once you set it up how you want don't expect to be ajusting the height frequently. It takes a strong arm to bend this thing into position. also this thing is sturdier when there is some bend in the middle, as when I have it all the way out flat it does droop with the heavy tablet.
