One gets good exposure to sunlight all day and stays on most of the night in sunny weather. The other is somewhat shaded by a hedge -- getting sun just in the afternoon. This light stayed on several hours (about 5) into the night during the sunny weather, but now only stays on a short time, now that the fall weather is here. I am not convinced these will get much "solar boost" in the winter months, but I knew that could be the case going into the purchase. They look good and the globe matches other light decor. I'm happy with that.
