It leaves a defined line, outlining my eyes clearly , with a soft but tidy edge. It mostly stayed in place all day, perhaps a little fainter by the evening. I do touch and rub my eyes quite a lot and day to day, I only wear eyeliner and light dusting of translucent powder - after applying eyeliner - and I don't tend to reapply for the rest of the day. I purchased this product because I have been struggling to find my usual eyeliner the last couple of times I bought it.
