Its self-sealing band allows the arm to be fully submerged. The protector features a cellular neoprene seal, which has a wide area of contact and therefore does not pinch the skin or feel constrictive. The main body is made from a pliable waterproof PVC/nylon mesh, which is roomy and slip resistant. It also contains an antimicrobial treatment, which provides protection against bacterial and fungal attack. The protectors will last, on average, eight weeks with normal use. We recommend that these cast protectors are only used for 20 to 25 minutes at a time. Because they are airtight, the cast or dressing can become quite warm, causing sweating. Easy to use, does not leak, does not require two people to put it on. Squeeze the air out before you get it in hot water. Cannot say whether or not it is waterproof if submersed, but it's great being able to shower semi-normally when I want and without assistance. Wrapping in plastic and tape is a real nuisance and not effective in the long run. This device is. It just plain works.Six weeks after I bought this and the Seal Tight version of the same thing, I tried on the Seal Tight just to be sure I had a working alternative. I couldn't pull in onto my arm without ripping my PICC line out by the roots or by re-engineering the hard rubber seal with a set of shears. Too late to qualify for a return, I just put the Seal Tight into the donations bag and ordered another Limbo. Nothing lasts forever, particularly if I leave it in a hotel room or if, after multiple daily uses, it should begin to fail. I don't expect it to form a perfect seal forever, but maybe it will. The point is that this thing works so well I can't afford to be without it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not necessarily "full arm" *by I***N on February 21, 2016* This didn't fit on my arm (adult male) when I had a cast that went past my elbow. The opening wasn't nearly wide enough to get around the bend in the cast. We had to buy a leg cover to fit. Once my cast got changed to a smaller one (for broken wrist) this worked fine though. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked Perfectly after elbow surgery! *by A***R on January 12, 2017* Had surgery for tennis elbow and this covered my arm for 2 weeks in the shower until I got my stitches out. The initial bandages around my elbow made it a little difficult to get on the first couple of days but after they changed the bandages to something less bulky it was easy to get on and off. This worked so much better than trying to put a plastic bag around my arm as I had to go above the elbow and could only use my left hand to put it on. I had purchased a DryPro Waterproof Full Arm Cast Cover about 10 years ago for wrist surgery and tried to use it again 6 years ago for my first elbow surgery and it didn't work at all the second time, kept letting water in.
