I am looking to make a blanket for a single bed how many balls would I need?** A: My wife ordered 2 balls to knit a scarf and had a small amount over, so to allow for a slight overhang all round we estimated three scarf lengths long by eight widths wide, 24 balls would be plenty depending on type and tightness of stitch. Hope this helps. **Q: What size crochet hook would i need to use please?** A: I say 4.5 or 5 When you look at the ball it said what size knitting needle and you can transfer it to hook size. Also depending on what you make or your tighness **Q: Can this be used on knitting loom?** A: Not sure this wool she loves .is very thick and just uses no.12 to crochet **Q: Started knitting! I am looking to make a blanket for a single bed how many balls would I need?** A: many many im afraid. Only used this wool for chunky knitting of baby clothes and a small blanket. Even a small jumper takes 2 balls. If you cost it all up this would be pretty expensive. But I can say that this is lovely yarn and knits up quickly.
