It worked. The flies would hover six inches away from my face, but they didn't bite. That said, 10 miles of flies harassing me got tiresome.The Cactus Juice worked a lot better. The flies didn't come close. It was like I was invisible. At first, I thought maybe I had just found a fly-free hike (is there such a thing in the UP?), so I kept using the Cactus Juice to see if I had different luck elsewhere. To my amazement, the flies continued to stay away.This stuff is very effective and claims to be very safe. They proudly proclaim "safe for kids" on the label, and even my chemical-fearing ex has approved it for use on our three year old.
