They are almost like suspenders and can be easily adjusted on length and your waist. I've been wearing them on my night runs and it's not bulky or uncomfortable. My Ragnar team is ordering a couple more in pink for our relay race. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Life Savers *by T***O on July 24, 2016* I walk and run a lot after dark and before sunrise. I've come close to being hit on several occasions. When one of the runners in my runners group was hit and killed, we all made a promise to be more visible ... why does it always take death to make this happen?!! Ugh. Anyway, this does the trick. I've had a couple cars stop as they pass and they say "I can certainly see you" ... This makes me feel so much better about being out in the dark. I have a 46" waist and this fits great with lots of room to spare. At 200lbs, there's still lots of room to adjust out the straps and they have a little stretch. I've purchased several for my family and will purchase more to keep one in my car. The Ragnar Chicago is a 200mi relay race from Madison, WI to Chicago, and because everyone runs at least one leg of their three at night (the event takes all but a few teams over 24h), nighttime safety gear is a must. It is also quite expensive to find reflective vests this inexpensive, lightweight, and durable. They were absolutely perfect. The elastic straps fit around my 40" waist AND my Camelbak with no issues, with room to spare if you needed to stretch it further or adjust the straps. The vest had adequate reflective properties and the buckle closure in the front was much better than some of the other vests I saw in use. It allowed me to get the vest on and off quickly when getting into/out of the van, taking off my Camelbak, sleeping, etc. I saw MANY people there using these vests, probably because of their cost efficiency. As it turned out, our van was short one vest, so having the extra came in handy, otherwise we would either have to leave someone in the van at exchange zones or risk disqualification.
