Classic and best OTC, get optional additional vasoconstrictor
This is a great proven and classic option to treat fissures and hemorrhoids. It contains zinc, bismuth, and balsam. While it is possible to use just diaper rash ointment, it is important to use astringent/protectant. Best of all this combination is available as a suppository. This does help pass easier while allow the healing process. No it is not especially sticky as you might think. It does not linger once colon is emptied. Clean and reapply. It does take some time to shrink the swelling. It is possible to combine this with other treatments, such as vasoconstrictor suppository like prep-h, witch hazel/prep-h wipes, or similar things. One of the most helpful procedure to follow is to use sitz bath with/without salts/hazel, suppository, and some tylenol. The Anusol suppositories would be very helpful in the healing process regardless of other treatments you can add on. I started only a three weeks after initial realization and began with prep-h. It only get easier once I got this. Overall, I had to get this online as local stores did not have it. Glad I could. Online it was also unclear of the ingredients but I knew it has zinc. The suppositories should be stored at or below room temperature for use. The bullet is easy to administer with tiny bit of lotion at the tip (or you can use any other lube). The instructions are included in the box. Be careful opening the bullet as the plastic wrap, pulling little bit each side at a time. Note that this does not have lidocaine or phenylephrine. It works as intended and is effective based on a specific function.

Huge Relief During Pregnancy
I was hesitant to try these because of some of the negative reviews, but I’m so glad I did. I purchased these after my insurance refused to cover the prescription version from the pharmacy. I am currently pregnant and dealing with a very painful thrombosed hemorrhoid, so I was trying to avoid taking unnecessary medications and was nervous about what to use. I am now on my 7th dose, and the improvement has been significant. My pain went from a constant 9/10 where I could barely sleep or move comfortably, to about a 2–3/10 with mostly pressure remaining. The packaging was good and I had no issues opening the individual suppositories. I found that applying a small amount of Prep H to the suppository made insertion much easier. I also took a warm shower beforehand since I was having a difficult time using a sitz bath. Taking slow breaths and exhaling while inserting it helped me relax and made the process easier. I was expecting these to be messy based on some reviews, but that has not been my experience. Overall, this product has been a huge help during a very uncomfortable situation, and I’m glad I decided to give it a try despite my initial hesitation.

I’LL NEVER USE PREPARATION H AGAIN
Regarding people saying it sticks to poop “so gross!”. Yes. It does. And while it might look gross - it works as a lubricant. Thankfully. All hemorrhoids creams/suppositories do it. It’s just obviously because of the zinc. But this does it 100x more effectively than prep h. Moving on. I started having issues with hemorrhoids after my daughter was born YEARS ago. I also take a medication that causes constipation. Add in an unhealthy diet and lack of decent water consumption…you end up with some really nasty hemorrhoids. I’ve been using prep h for YEARS. The only thing it ever did was mitigate the symptoms. I don’t think it ever actually addressed the hemorrhoid. But I can tell it’s actually shrinking. My bowel movements haven’t been this regular in over 10 yrs. It can be difficult to get the capsules open, especially if you don’t have much grip strength. Personally, I have nerve damage in my hands, but I’ve never found them hard to open. Pull one off, flick the tab until there are two parts, grip pull and slowly open. Do not immediately remove the suppository. Once you are in the position to administer, then remove an insert. I think the reason it’s crumbling or melting is bc people are used to prep h suppositories which hold up much easier out of the foil wrapping.

These are miracles. Real miracles.
These are what you're been looking for. As an American I felt so lucky to discover these imports on Amazon. I was a fan of Anusol's (amazing) cream first, and tried these out on a whim: beat decision ever. These WORK. Unlike other brands, I can really tell I'm healing, and if you know what I'm talking about, you know what a big improvement that is in your actual quality of life. These little hard/smooth bullets are easy to insert, and only melt once in place (in my experience -- I see some others here have other experiences). There is no mess. Bowel movements are greatly eased in regard to pain for me. I use the Anusol cream to lubricate the Anusol suppository and that hack works perfectly. The only downside is the bizarre, terrible suppository packaging: it is almost impossible to open. I have more serious medications that are wildly easy compared to this. Each suppository is sealed in a shell of stiff plastic that you have to peel away from both sides, separating the fused crimping, trying to get purchase with your fingertips on the teeny tiny flimsy flaps at the top. I've considered using pliers, even if it would send the pill flying (sometimes it does anyway, which is frustrating); scissors would damage the suppository. It can take some real straining to get these open sometimes, which is the last thing someone suffering with hemorrhoids wants to do. Additionally, for someone with limited dexterity, these are downright inaccessible. Have I cried in frustration over them? Maybe. But the medication itself is a miracle.
