No male/female. **Q: Do you take the plant out of the fiber pot before putting it in a larger pot or will it grow out of the fiber pot into the new dirt in the larger pot?** A: I wish mine were in fiber pots, these things are basically rooting plug cups 1in maybe 1.5in diameter and 2in tall "pots", unfortunately 2 of mine also arrived burned from it being so hot outside but that really isn't the sellers fault **Q: Question for sellers: what kinds of lowest temperatures are you able to ship at? Do you provide heat packs for winter orders?** A: They were not worth it, I planted in the summer, one never survived being shipped. They grew in indirect sun light. Did not do good in direct sunlight. One of the ones I received was slightly smashed, hopefully it recovers. But the rest look pretty good. If you’ve never grown pineapples before, they take a long time to grow. I repeat: they take a LONG TIME to grow. I’ve grown some that take around a year and others that took more than two before fruiting. I’m estimating by the size of the plants we received, they’ll take about 2 years-ish before they produce a fruit.
