It seems that the controller has wi-fi or BT capabilities. Its not a huge drain but it will kill it over time. The switch will allow you to prevent that when not in use. **Q: How strong is the adhesive on the led strips? could i install, uninstall and install again on a different bike?** A: Once they are on they are on you cannot reapply somewhere else. I've had mine on for 4 weeks and staying on, I've had other brands peel off in a few days. I had issues with the control boxes but they shipped replacements really quick after I notified them. A really good company. **Q: Where can I find Instructions for installation? Mine didn’t come with any.** A: Not sure, but it was an easy install.
