I found enough information online to get me through the basics, but when it got tough to do that -- especially because things can be specific to the platform -- I decided to get a book. There weren't a ton out there that mentioned SQL Developer and were geared towards my level, so the field was already narrowed down for me. How lucky I was that what I was left with turned out to be exactly what I wanted/needed! I just love how it's laid out! I start on the right page where there are examples and a bulleted list of what's happening. This has been fantastic when I'm already familiar with the concept because I don't waste a lot of time on it, but it also lets me quickly find the tips and tricks I haven't yet figured out on my own. When I need more than bullets, I move to the left page where the same focus is explained in paragraph form with more details. Not only am I finding it useful as I go through it page by page, but I can also see how it will be an ideal reference later on.
