I got this product from H2 Miracle Water and followed all instructions in the user manual for cleaning and maintenance. Ozone water is supposed to disinfect and clean the pitcher whenever you run the cycle? Think again!I got this product 6 months ago and I run the ozone cycle every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Additionally, I run an ozone cycle with citric acid every 2 weeks. At the 6 months mark, I am now changing out the filter and sponge for the first time, per the user manual. Imagine my surprise when I find mold on the bottom of the sponge... I almost puked on the spot wondering how long it’s been there and how much mold water I’ve been drinking. I followed everything in the instruction manual, reading it more than 3 times completely since I got the machine, so please don’t tell me I did something wrong, unless the manual has inaccurate info. Now I am at a loss as to how to even salvage this machine that costed $1,100+ at the time of purchase.The user manual said not to clean with detergent but rather just the built-in ozone cycle is enough. Clearly, NO! So now there is mold all over the inside of this machine as the water chambers are all freely connected inside and I don’t even know what to do.If you own one of this, flip your sponge over NOW! You could be drinking mold water like me for who knows how long. I’ve contacted H2 Miracle Water asking how to clean the mold out and am still waiting for a response.Honestly, after this I am deeply regretful of the purchase. If you are thinking about getting one I am going to tell you please don’t, for your own sake and the safety of your family. I am a perfectionist so trust me when I said I am doing everything the instruction manual says. Something is fundamentally wrong with this product, along with false advertising. I wish someone told me this before I purchased, and now I am doing this for you.
