The silver-capped bulbs are a great touch and are necessary or this would blind you. I need to get a dimmer on this because it puts out so much light it's kinda crazy. That said, it's perfect in my fairly large living room. I love this fixture, it's pretty perfect, there's nothing I would change about it. We got this chandelier for the foyer, main entrance and it looks amazing. The light is definitely bright. It took my husband no more than 45 minutes to put up the chandelier and frankly he isn't much of a handyman. We picked this chandelier over other similar ones (cheaper) being sold because this one has the chain which allows us to adjust the height, also the reviewers on the other chandelier complained about the bulbs burning out.
