The internal amps are used to power surround back and 4 ceiling speakers. I was really amazed by the immediate improvements in sound. Voice was a lot cleaner, especially the center channel and the movies are a lot more immersive. Just remember to re calibration of the system using Audyssy EQ wizard. It is much better than to upgrade the receiver. I think I would have to pay at least 4000 dollars and up to get the power and performance of adding these amps. Da paßte es genau daß Marantz den MM 7055, der seinerzeit mit der Vorstufe AV 7005 auf den Markt kam, noch herstellt.
