Review: Incredible Quality at a Fantastic Price! - I bought these whistles to put in outdoor survival kits for my Bear Scouts "Let's go Camping!" end of the year unit. I was originally going to buy the more expensive metal whistles on desertcart until I remembered oh, yeah. Metal freezes to moist warmth in cold climates--and so with visions of my boys running around (accidentally or deliberately--you pick!) with whistles frozen to their lips, blowing frantically? I decided, albeit a bit skeptically, to use these whistles instead. When they arrived I took them out of the box and looked them over and was extremely impressed! For the price, I was expecting whistles with the balls that rotate in the chamber to produce the whistling sound frozen or cheaply constructed, brittle plastic. Neither was true. All of the whistles worked perfectly, producing a clear, sharp sound, and the plastic is thick and durable. To date as I am writing this review, the extra whistle my daughter got from this package has been stepped on no less than three times by the full weight of a larger adult male and it has not cracked, let alone broken. I feel like I got my money's worth and then some with these whistles! Bottom Line: If you are considering these whistles wondering if they will hold up or do the simple job they are supposed to do, buy with confidence!
