I was surprised that there was no battery. In the description it mentions how it is a great emergency power supply for up to 5 hours. It does not mention there is no battery though. I bought this for a college student for use on campus walking to and from classes, and if she happens to run out of battery on her laptop, as a emergency power supply. With no battery in the product this will not work in the middle of a lecture. I wish there was a way to add a battery to store powerI will have to reply later to update how the product works when used.
