After you wash them, they get softer. The zippers are strong and durable. I first bought this brand 2 years ago and have ordered more since. I still use the originals from 2 years ago.I use the big ones for delicate long sweater pants and sweaters, the medium for a certain great brand of socks that shed- to keep the flizzies contained in the bag, the smallest bag for cotton gloves or other small delicate items. I can easily fit three delicate sweaters in the large bag- or 5-7 delicate 100% cotton long sleeved tees.These bags are well made. Good stitching, strong zippers and the zippers are color coded by bag size making it easier to grab one that you need without having to unfold them. Definitely recommend these Mamlyn laundry bags. Great value, too.I can dry the items in the bag which makes sorting easier unless some items much be line dried.
