The wiring harness couldn't be secured to the sensor, no matter the force applied. It's supposed to snap into place, but the clip didn't reach the opening it needs to click into. I trimmed about 1/4" of excess plastic from the part to help it attach. In addition, the round portion of the part was too wide to fit into its slot on the compressor. Lubrication wasn't the issue. It was simply too large. I filed and sanded the plastic until I could, with force, push the lubricated, filed-down part into the compressor. Once installed, my compressor didn't engage. It was my fault: I later learned that the wiring harness still hadn't been fully secured. A local garage had previously told me I needed a new compressor. Unwilling to jump to that, I stalled. Three weeks later I ordered the Dorman version of this part. It snapped easily onto the wiring harness and fit perfectly in its slot on the compressor. When I turned on my ac, the compressor engaged immediately. The dewpoint is at 78 today, with high 90 temps due next week, so I'm a happy and relieved dude!
