They had to have solid arms, recline and have a high backrest. These Timber Ridge chairs ticked all of the boxes. They are solidly made and the material seems to be hard-wearing. They came in good quality storage bags, ideal for tucking them away under the van when the weather is wet. They are on the heavy side but we don't plan on carrying them any distance. All in all, we are very happy with them. Review: Good quality at a fair price. - Not really used them properly yet but they seem to be very robust and of good quality and comfortable. They are fairly heavy but I think it would still be easy to carry down to the beach say - you are not going to go hiking carrying them are you. As others have said they are quite stiff to open up first time but that seems to ease off after a few openings. There is definitely a technique to opening them up but once mastered it’s no problem - just watch the video closely and note the simultaneous outward and downward pressure applied to the front corners of the seat base. Went to look at quite a number of alternative reclining seats at a camping store today and these definitely easily match if not exceed perceived quality and comfort. These should store easily in our campervan and come with a robust bag and carrying strap.
