Dyson Supersonic Nural™ Hair Dryer

This hair dryer really does cut drying time in half at least. The cord is extra long, which is great! No more pulling the plug out by accident. Lightweight and comfortable to hold. Easy to turn on. It knows just what heat to apply. Never cold and never burning hot. It does have a high pitched sound to it, which scares my cat, but it's a lot quieter than my old cheap dryer. It really moves a LOT of air. Love that there's so many attachments. I thought I'd use the diffuser, but am just using the simple ring and it's making my hair nice and soft with my waves. My hair feels much better. The dryer looks nice too. There's colored lights to let you know how much heat is being applied, but i really don't pay attention to them. The filter is a screen at the bottom of the handle, just turn and pull off to clean. THe attachments all connect easily by magnet. Quick to change out if you want to. LOVE this, best money i've spent in a long time. WORTH the cost!

Used on: knee length straight medium hair, usually after a couple of hours in a towel I hadn't blow dried in decades, because it always just frizzed the top layer of hair while leaving the rest wet, plus left me with much itchier, less manageable hair until my next wash. But this meant that any day I washed my hair I could do nothing with the rest of the day waiting for it to dry out enough. The buzz around the Dyson suggested it might cure the frizzing issue, and as my scalp was getting itchy in the areas that didn't dry out as fast I gave it a go. It works quite well! I keep it on the lowest heat setting as I really don't want to stress my hair (the top layer is noticeably less soft these days; I'm 60, so it's gone through a lot of wear and tear by now). I tried the various attachments, which swap out super easy via the magnets, but find that just the base one is best for me. Maybe a professional could advise me on better techniques and uses of the other attachments, who knows, I'm distinctly out of practice with blow dryers. There's a very short delay between toggling the switch and having the air start blowing, which gives me the moment needed to turn the blower towards my hair. I'm not sure if the feature that cools it down when it gets near my scalp works, since I already have in on super low, but it never comes close to burning my skin. I occasionally use the cool-air-only button as well. I don't use the blower until I am fully dry, given my worries about damaging hair, but in just a few minutes I have it as dry as if I'd sat letting it air dry for many hours, with lots of volume. The fan noise is pleasant as well, it whooshes but doesn't roar even though it has a very strong blast of air. The bladeless opening is nifty, no fear of any hair getting sucked in. I do use some hair serum before drying and a touch more on the hair ends afterwards, to make up for anything the heat does. The dryer is fairly heavy, but decently balanced. I have a very weak grip and haven't had trouble with it. The power cord is monstrously thick. Fortunately I don't use my jacuzzi tub any more so I can let the cord lie in the tub when not using the dryer, and the cylinder of the dryer hooks well on the tub edge to keep it stably in place between uses. I have a handy gfci outlet by the vanity to properly plug it in. It's not neat and tidy, though. If you're considering this dryer and care about such things, you might want to get the associated wall mount for it. The case the dryer and attachments come in is sturdy and beautiful. I have it sitting out between my dresser and mirror and it blends in very nicely. All in all, I'm very glad I decided to try this. It's nice having my hair dry fast again.

The appearance is absolutely beautiful, with a sleek and luxurious design. I love the different heat settings and the intelligent heat control, which makes styling my hair so much easier. The heat is well regulated, and the dryer feels comfortable to use without being too heavy. The weight is nicely balanced, and although it's a premium hair dryer, its portability makes it convenient to take anywhere. I genuinely enjoy using it every day! It's powerful, stylish, and makes my hair routine feel like a salon experience. Definitely worth the wait, and getting it during Amazon's sales made it even better. Highly recommend!

I resisted making this purchase owing to the huge difference in price compared to the typical hair dryers I've purchased in the past. After years of my hairdresser using this and not getting similar results with my own hair dryer, I took the plunge when my latest died (as they always do!). Well, after using it now for over a month, I honestly can say this is a gamechanger. I have thick hair and now that I'm in my 60's I've stopped coloring it other than some vivid color "peek-a-boo" highlights I get refreshed every 4 months or so. My hair is naturally wavy and as I've gotten older, even down-right curly if I apply a bit of curl product and use a diffuser. In humidity, I tend to frizz. With other dryers, when I blow-dry straight (which I do most days) on a humid day, forget it, within hours, major curl/wave or all-out frizz is a given. Not anymore! When I blow it out straight with the Supersonic Nural, using the directed attachment and a round brush, it looks almost as good as when my hairdresser does it - and stays mostly smooth even in the face of humidity. And the diffuser attachments produce the most beautiful curls I can wear whenever! I LOVE this dryer!

Probably the worst hairdryer money can buy. It didn’t last longer than a month before it had to be taped together. The sensor for when you put it down is trash and you have to shake it when you lift it up to get it working. The plastic filter doesn’t do anything and the metal filter is attached and hard to clean. Got better performance and lifespan out of a $20 hairdryer.

I thought my hair would never shine again. This is not just a blow dryer, it’s a true hair care product that will make your hair look so much better. The blow dryer and styling brush were frying my color treated hair and my hair had lost its shine. After just a couple of days of using the Dyson my hair has regained its shine and I couldn’t be happier!

I returned this. I had a Dyson hairdryer as a stylist that lasted a very long time that I loved, that finally kicked the bucket. When I got this I was hoping it would be quieter and lighter than the last- it was neither. I also found its air too strong even on low settings when using the diffuser- which I use on clients a lot. A bit of a let down, especially at the price. It was good at fast smooth drying for thick hair- I will give it that. And the fly away attachment is genius, very sad to see that go. But overall not worth it- way too loud, heavy and too extreme with diffusing.

The technology on this hairdryer is worth the money! It is truly the best hairdryer I have owned! Great settings and great performance! My hair looks great - it’s quiet for a hairdryer. But love the hair protection it offers.

Genuine, checked by registering on Dyson website. Whilst the listing had conflicting information, and I was sceptical at time of order, the item I received (sold by amazon.ae) was the correct version: UK plug, 220-240V and 50-60Hz.
