Older model, but great!
I've owned this model B&D Canopener for about 15 years. I've never had one iota of trouble with it, but the plastic has turned yellow now and the little round magnet is missing ~~ absolutely the only things wrong with it. So I found one, only one, on Amazon and ordered it today, none on eBay. I have a fishing camp in a nearby state and have had several "under the cabinet" models there and hated all of them ~~ miss spots when opening, arm with blade constantly comes off, etc. I'm excited that I could find a replacement of the B&D Spacesaver model for my home. It's been a great can opener. Hope I can find another one 15 years from now! NOTE: I received this item, listed as NEW, from seller PAKR8, not in the original B&D box, but in a Walmart Mainstays Clip-On Light box. No owners manual, warranty registration card, or installation instructions/template were included. I think this item may have been refurbished rather than new. I contacted the seller, but have received no response, about 5 days later. The can opener works fine, so far, but I would not ever buy from this seller again.

My Purchase Replacement?
I had an identical unit for more than ten years and when a friend (?) broke it I needed a new one. I couldn't find one anywhere so I went to Amazon and located one. I was happy with the purchase process and delivery but after using it only a couple of times it quit working. The seller was great in offering a refund, thank you, but I wanted a replacement and that could not happen. I hate the fact that Black & Decker no longer offers this product off the shelf as the original one I purchased. I haven't been able to find a good under the counter (space-saver) can opener.

Under the counter convenience
Had one of these for many years. Wanted another. This one is much louder but fits under cabinet & opens cans easily. So, it’s a winner. Though it cost about 4 times our first one did.

Can opener
Love this can opener! Had one for 20 years it finally bit the dust . Only gripe I have I thought I was cleaning it really good when I took the old one down it was nasty and I still don’t know how to clean it with out taking it down once or twice a year . Which is what I will do. Other than that I’m happy.

Cost went from $120.xx to over $200.xx on Christmas night.
The problem that wasn’t obvious until you unpackaged the can opener. When it’s installed under the cabinet, you open the front, use the opener and any splash from the can goes straight up and must then clean it- which isn’t easy to get to the splash area. The cost was close to prohibitive. $129.00 This one is no longer made- it’s not like I was buying some fabulous antique item for display in a glass case. On 12/25, I checked the price and it had been raised to well over $200.00. The price range should be 30-$40.00 realistically.
