Then put filter in and enjoy. He did not spray on filter itself. **Q: How exactly do you apply the spray? Just from the vents in the house, or do you also spray from the furnace side of the ducts?** A: I use to work for an Air conditioning company and we would spray the intake vents. I also use it as a room deodorizer. It smells good, and it's a clean scent. **Q: Do ypu sprsy this directly in the vent?** A: Yes, you spray it into your vents. I work for an air conditioning company and we use this as well. **Q: Does it get rid of cigarette smoke smell?** A: Not sure but I will say the musky smell that I could stand on my apartment is no longer there. Even when I have no plug ins or fresheners going, the air is just fresh or no particular smell at all. I still spray every now and again. I would say yes it will illuminate the odor of cigarettes but im a non smoker so wouldn't really know.
