I really wanted to like it...

*by 0***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2016*

I was so excited first time started using it, but things immediately went south and only worsened after...Tired of swimming with headphones which either give me earache (1+ hour swim) or leaking water into my ear I was really excited when discovered these and read all the positive reviews from "sport bloggers".At first try I was extremely disappointed with sound. Granted these sound better when in water, but at the best sound is something like high quality radio in next room. Plus with breathing both sides you'll have to get used volume drops one side with every breath in. Not being able to make peace with that I gave the device to my wife. She was also excited for short time. Then second problem started happening: you can never be sure it is charging even when on charger. After reading some tricks other people tried I started using alcohol to clean contacts before every charge and very tight rubber band to keep device on cradle. Still have to check time to time if it charges or disconnected again. Plus sometimes when you put the device on cradle instead of starting on charging it turns on and starts playing music. Annoying as hell. And final nail - after some time the device is not recognized by any PC I connect it to so no new music for you, leave with what's currently there forever.I highly recommend NOT TO BUY this device.UPDATE from 12/21/2016.After contacting support and some mailthread I found solution which works for now. First I cleaned up contacts on device and cradle with toothbrush and alcohol. Then I noticed one of the pins on cradle stucks in some position and doesn't move up and down as others do - fixed it with straightening the pin with tweezers and "exercising" its spring. Now when I place device on cradle really carefully and fix them together with wide rubber band my PC can recognize it.Adding one more star, but still dissapointed

To call this thing crap is an insult to crap.

For those of you that got one of these that worked, congratulations. For the rest of you, I feel your pain. I ordered this headset in the hopes that it would bring some fun into my otherwise boring swim workouts. In my mind a headset or media player should simply work. A reasonabley competent person should be able to charge it for a full day ( did that ) find the finis duo folder on my desk top (no problem there) put the music in the folder, disconnect the device ( eject it properly ) and , assuming that you did all of that right when you hit play you should be rewarded with some music. Connecting it the first time was a breeze. It snapped into its docking station and I instantly got the Finis Icon on my desktop. I put 20 songs in the folder and disconnected it. I got the device to power on to test it before I took it to the pool. It powered op played the music and I turned it off. When I got to the pool I hit the power button. No lights no sound. Grrr must not have charged it fully. That even I left it on the charger for 12 hours. The LED blinked all night long. This indicated that the battery was charging but failed to get to a full charge. That was 3 days ago. I cant get the device to power on at all. I have charged it far more than should be necessary. I can still open up and manipulate the Finis folder. However, I can not get it to turn on at all. I bought this while living overseas which means I have to spend 1/4 the value of the product to return it or eat the cost entirely. The bone conducting tech is interesting but it does me no good if the I cant turn the player on.

Successfully killed the Bieber ear worms!

*by N***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2015*

I swim at a pool that has a lot of contemporary songs blasting overhead, and when I complained to my wife about Justin Bieber ear worms, she got me this MP3 player. Downloading music to it was extremely easy and fast (Doobies, Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews, Stone Temple Pilots, et. al.), and I didn't have any problems hooking this to my googles. With some trepidation I swam last night and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. I had some volume issues (the same controls that control volume control the song choice), and after a bit of trial and effort I got the volume where I wanted it. But once I did, the sound quality is fantastic! There's a bit of water noise that doesn't diminish the overall sound, and it made my goggles fit a bit differently around my eyes, but nothing that detracted from the swim. The battery lasted fine throughout an hour and half workout. The only negative is you can't hear the player when your head is out of the water, but I did find myself staying in my glide longer after flip turns just to hear the music. So one day in, and I'm happy as a dolphin. If it breaks or something else changes, I'll come back and update my review. Meanwhile, the Justin Bieber ear worms are history! :)
