Review: Instant Improved Curb Appeal - I was looking for ways to enhance my home's curb appeal, as I may be selling it within the next year or so. I had seen these hinges and handles on other garage doors in the area and always thought that they were attractive. I assumed that they were attached to a garage door with screws, so I was pleasantly surprised when I read that they're magnetic and are held in place by magnets (obviously, you must have a metal garage door for these to work). Since I have a metal garage door, I went ahead and ordered a set. Once I decided where to position the four hinges and two handles on my "plain Jane" garage door, I stepped back to the street and was astounded how they completely transformed the appearance of the door. It was a major improvement to my home's curb appeal at a very minimal cost. It took less than 5 minutes to "install" the 6 pieces on the door, and I did not have to drill any holes or otherwise deface the garage door. Although the magnets are not super-strong, the hinges and handles have stayed in place so far. If they start to move around due to harsh weather or garage door vibration, I'll apply a small amount of super glue to keep them in place. I'm more worried that since they're not securely attached to the garage door, they'll be stolen by neighborhood kids (who have already pilfered many of my solar lights and lawn ornaments).
