There is a small piece of printed picture. I leaned how to use from my personal trainer. If you are a stranger of grid, you should find how you can use it properly first. **Q: Where is the country of origin?** A: the roller itself was manufactured in Taiwan but the corporate office is in Texas. I believe the concept and development of this product was created by a personal trainer from the USA. **Q: I purchased the Trigger Point Performance Grid 2.0 EVA Foam Roller. It was working great, but split into 2 pieces. Is it defective ?** A: Mine broke in half also. Bad glue jobs I believe. I actually like it better in the smaller configuration as I can use 2 halves to do the back (they are wide enough) and they become easier to transport. If you have some reason that you like it that big, ask for a replacement. (I can do my back and both legs at the same time with the half width.) **Q: does size matter?** A: I have both the Grid 2.0 and the original. I use the 2.0 at home, since its larger and I have more space. As helpful as that was to figure out, it does me no good when I'm travelling. That's because the traditional Foam Roller doesn't fit in a carryon, and even if it did, it just takes up too much volume. That's where this little guy comes in. I love my Grid. It's something I can keep in a drawer at my desk at work, and when I travel, it comes with me. I can fit it into my carryon, and put a few items inside of the hollow center. It's perfect for people like me, who would start to have lower back pain during a long trip away from home. Pros: -Light, hollow, travel ready -Love the way the nubs feel, even though I don't feel like they ACTUALLY do much to improve the stretch. -Hard plastic seems very sturdy. Cons: -Little more than I'd ideally want to pay for something simple like this.
