Great set of pool stairs and hack to weigh front down
We got these steps last year to replace a vertical ladder that broke. I get painful foot cramps that many times brought on by the pressure the rungs of a traditional ladder on the soles of my feet. These steps solved that problem so i would recommend them for anyone who has similar foot or other issues like back problems using a deck ladder. Before i put the stairs in for a second year i wanted to fix the issue some other customers reported where do to buoyancy the front part of the stairs tend to lift up a couple of inches. I the solution that i used was inexpensive, unobtrusive, easy to install and has solved the problem. I used a precut two foot 4inch in diameter PVC pipe, two end caps, 36 inch zip ties and bag of cement. I used pvc glue to affix one end cap and filled cement and glued other end cap and let it set over night. Then turn over the stairs over so the bottom step was faceup on the deck. Drill 4 holes into the riser of the bottom stairs as shown. Measure or simply use the PVC pipe as a guide drill 4 companion holes above the pipe insert the tails of the zip on the bottom hole and back up and out throught the top hole so you can get better leverage to pull the zip tie tight towards you. The 4 zips seem to have done their job and hold the weight securely in place. The zips being on the front bottom riser rather than the blue stair are barely noticeable and the weight is doing its job as the stairs now rest flatly on the pool liner. Otherwise these the family love the stairs, they are sturdy enough to sit on and makes getting in and out of the pool a breeze.

Excellent product
Just assembled and set up,pretty easy. The stairs seem more solid than any I've ever had. Money well spent, really like them and I'm not really a small guy. Rails are a little wobbly but can be supported easily I'm sure, not even enough that I'm worried about. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting safer stairs into the pool

Very happy with these stairs!
My whole extended family loves our pool and some of us are getting a little bit older so weโve been thinking of adding stairs for a long time. This year one of my sisters had shoulder surgery and literally could no longer use the ladder. So it was time to finally get the stairs. I read loads of reviews and decided on these. Although I have to say I was expecting them to be flimsy because of the super affordable price. I was pleasantly surprised by their sturdiness. First let me say that the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is about the issue of weighing them down. To be honest we didnโt even try to fill them with sand because of other reviews that were unhappy with sand sifting into the pool. We opted for weighted bags ( purchased on Amazon very economically) filled with sand. We first put trash bags into the pool bags then filled those with sand and tied them off to keep the sand from sifting out. We used zip ties to secure the bags to the stairs. It took 4 bags with a total of approximately 100 lb. of sand to securely hold them down. We put a pool mat ( also purchased on Amazon) under the stairs to protect the liner. Now having said all this, I feel like these stairs are an amazing value. They are very easy to assemble and are super sturdy. I would advise having a partner to help with assembly to hold and support, and to place the completed stairs into the pool. The handrails arenโt meant to be pulled on but rather just to steady you as you walk up & down. Also we added screws where the two parts of the handrails come together and that helped make them feel much more secure. This wasnโt part of the assembly instructions but it made sense to us. Another concern I had was that they would take up a lot of space in the pool. They really donโt. They have a narrow profile form the wall but at the same time offer generous stair treads that are very comfortable to walk up & down. Probably most decks are wood or composite. Our is steel (a Kayak) so we did have to buy a titanium drill bit. We used 2 screws on each brace and they are very secure. So far theyโve only been in the pool for a few weeks so I canโt comment on long term durability but so far we couldnโt be happier with them. I would have expected them to cost much more than they do. I wish Iโd found them years ago. We feel like adding the stairs has made the pool more accessible and much more enjoyable for everyone. If youโve been considering adding stairs to your pool I would recommend these without hesitation.

Conifer steps are great!
Easy set up. Perfect for my needs of being able to enter and exit my pool. I chose the blue steps and it looks so good in the water. The steps seem to be well made. The hand rails could be a little sturdier but I think they will hold up with the grandkids

Great Stairs
We are very pleased with these stairs. They are easy to put together & are sturdy. I read many of the poor reviews of these before I bought them but I just donโt see the same issues that were stated. Yes the rails will move due to the being plastic but by no means are they flimsy. We donโt try to hang off of them or let kids try to swing off the rails. The steps are wide and very easy to walk on. They are great for kids and older adults.

Great, stable, easy to assemble!
We got these steps as we had a deck built around our above ground pool and so needed to upgrade our A frame type steps. We were really happy that these were shipped out and delivered early, packaged really well and were also nice and easy to put together. We watched the manufacturers video prior to assembling them and it really wasnโt that difficult at all. We decided not to fill them with sand (as per their instruction video) but used our own anchoring system which we already had for our previous steps, which has worked out a treat. These steps are solid, non-slip and have been a 100% upgrade to our pool experience. I particularly love the double handrail, which our previous steps didnโt have. I can highly recommend them.

Quite an Improvement
The steps came early--well before the expected delivery date!! Well packaged. They are assembled and in pool. We did not want to put sand in them as we felt it would be too heavy for us to lift--we're both 75. Instead we drilled holes in the longer chambers so water could more easily get in and air out. Then we filled a tall chlorine tablet bucket with 60 pounds of our son's weights from his old weight bar which I put underneath the steps and secured with nylon cord. The back of the steps was close to the pool wall so I wedged part of a pool noodle between the wall and the steps as a precaution. I've been the only one who has used them so far but they are quite an improvement over our old ladder which was becoming harder and harder to use. A definite improvement and I am super glad they are USA made. Thank you!

Way cheaper than pool stores!
The ladder is great and it's way cheaper than buying at pool stores. Comparable ones were $350 from the place I bought my pool from. Rather than put sand inside the ladder I wanted to be able to remove it easier when we close the pool. I bought a long piece of 1.5" PVC pipe. I Cut the pipe to the width of the ladder. In three spots I ran the PVC through the width of the ladder toward the bottom to make a shelf. I then filled empty bleach bottles with pea gravel and water, and set those on top of my pvc "shelf". It took 5 of those to weigh the ladder down really well. I used some outdoor zip ties to secure the bleach bottles so they wont move around or fall off the shelf. When I close the pool I cut the zip ties, remove the bottles, and pull out the ladder easily. That might be confusing so let me see if I can clear it up. If you look at the side of the ladder there are slats that run up and down. I put the 1.5" PVC pipe in the slats and ran it the width of the ladder (side to side). I used a rubber mallet to help get the pvc to fit since it was a tight squeeze. I did that towards that bottom, and it gives something to set the bleach bottles on. The PVC pipe is sturdy so it will barely flex with weight on it.

Overall great stairs! Easy to build!
These pool stairs are great! They are a bit wider than others weโve had and have good grip. Good for all ages and can accommodate those with mobility challenges as well. We chose not to fill the stairs fully with sand. Disclaimer: we started to fill the stairs but it became clear they would be too heavy and challenging to remove from the pool at the end of the season. These stairs do not accommodate sand containers that you would place on the underside (this review would have been 5 stars had these stairs come with an alternative weighted option). We weighed down the stairs with waterproof bags and fire glass- worked great! See photo-

much better than the ladder we had with the pool
I bought these because I have leg problems and the regular ladder that came with the pool made me nervous. I worried about my foot slipping on the narrow rungs. This ladder makes me feel secure as I climb into pool (we got two, one for the outside and one for the inside of the pool). Only concern is that I think we didn't get the rails as secure as I would like. They wobble a bit.

Ideal for my grandson with disability
This ladder was the difference between my grandson being able to get out of the pool safely due to his inability to use fine motor skills. He would have had to watch his family and friends enjoy the pool while he watched, or have someone in the pool who could assist a 12year old who is over 6' to get out of the pool.
