It survived that harsh environment with flying colors. It even got lost on the playa (I left it in the middle of the desert) and found two days later without any obvious signs of damage or wear. Its very comfortable to wear and the mouth piece works great. The cover to keep out dirt is brilliant, especially in dust storms, so I'm sure its more than good enough for regular daily use.My only complaint is that the two long pockets, which unzip from the top are pretty narrow, which makes it very difficult to get my hands into, but I do have large hands. I really like the hydration pack! I think it good quality material. No leaks. I had a CamelBak before and I was unsure whether to buy it again or order something new. I was not disappointed. It had all the features my old CamelBak had. I used it more during the summer to drink more water. Also I think the company's service must good to handwrite a card to a customer.
